Welcome to the Office of International Education
The mission of the Office of International Education (OIE) is to promote, establish, manage, and coordinate international education opportunities and general internationalization initiatives at the University of Utah. This includes the oversight of international exchange agreements and traditional study abroad programs, as well as academically-focused international internships, service learning, and other appropriate programs. In pursuit of these goals, OIE manages the Study Abroad Office in the Olpin Union; chairs or administratively manages several committees responsible for international activity, including the International Exchange Committee, the International Requirement Committee, the Student Fee Study Abroad Scholarship Committee, and the International Studies Board; and works with and coordinates international initiatives with other University organizations representing students, faculty, and administration.

Student Fee Study Abroad Scholarship | Starting Spring 2009, a new Student Fee scholarship will be awarded to selected students going on a study abroad program. Award amounts vary with the length of the program, from $1000 to $2500. The selection procedure is random.
