Welcome to the Office of International Education
The mission of the Office of International Education (OIE) is to promote, establish, manage, and coordinate international education opportunities and general internationalization initiatives at the University of Utah. This includes the oversight of international exchange agreements and traditional study abroad programs, as well as academically-focused international internships, service learning, and other appropriate programs. In pursuit of these goals, OIE manages the Study Abroad Office in the Olpin Union; chairs or administratively manages several committees responsible for international activity, including the International Exchange Committee, the International Requirement Committee, the Student Fee Study Abroad Scholarship Committee, and the International Studies Board; and works with and coordinates international initiatives with other University organizations representing students, faculty, and administration.

2010 Study Abroad Development Grant Program | Grants are open to all full-time teaching faculty, including lecturers and adjuncts. They provide funding support for overseas travel in conjunction with planning and establishing new study abroad programs at the U.
